With the increasing rate of ailments occurring in today’s world, there is a significant rise of students taking up medical as a career. Every year lakhs of students are seen to enroll themselves in various coaching institutes in a pursuit to get into the premiere medical colleges.
There are various medical colleges across the country, to accommodate the escalating demand. Each, having their own criteria and admission procedure for admissions; which is not a piece of cake.
Two most important medical exams conducted in India are- NEET and AIIMS. Almost all the colleges other than AIIMS accept NEET scores (which has recently been directed by the SC).
AIIMS Vs. NEET: Which is better
Rigorous study, proper guidelines and adequate study materials are the requisites for preparation of these kind of cut-throat entrance examinations.
Although both NEET and AIIMS are perceived to be tough exams, but AIIMS (which will get you into one of India’s crème de la crème Institute of medical studies) requires more effort and perseverance.
The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), an epitome of quality education and an abode of knowledge is every medical aspirant’s dream. AIIMS Medical colleges are spread across different parts of the country. At present centers are located in New Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Raipur, Bhopal, Rishikesh. In the impending years, few other newer centers will come under its umbrella of Institutes. Admission to these colleges is carried on the basis of AIIMS MBBS Entrance exam.
AIIMS is difficult because of factors like- question patterns, high eligibility requirements and stiff competition. In the year 2014, only about 0.67 candidates who took AIIMS were able to get through. Also, due to limited number of seats, the competition is comparatively much higher than NEET.
There are various coaching institutes catering to the needs and requirements of the students. Pertaining to the demands of the students they equip students with all the necessary requisites. They provide them with study materials, explicit knowledge about different topics and a helpful study-format. They will not only provide you course materials but will also guide you as to which books to follow in order to learn the concepts.
A number of online platforms are also available that help students in a great way in their preparation process. The best thing about them is that they are free of cost; students have the liberty to learn, practice and give tests as many number of times as required.
