Trade shows and exhibitions have proven their effectiveness for many businesses, especially if these businesses would like to launch a new product, promote an existing one, promote a sale or offer, or simply introduce themselves to the right audience. But whether or not you are a veteran of trade shows and exhibitions or are a trade show or exhibition first-timer, there are actually some concrete things you can do to make your exhibition or trade show booth stand out and your presence known. So what can you do as a trade show or exhibition participant?
Prioritise a Good Display
If you want your exhibition booth to stand out and get the attention it deserves, you have to concentrate on providing your audience with a good display first. But what constitutes a good display? First of all, make sure your exhibition stand and pop up banners or roll up banners are made of high quality, sturdy materials, and with great graphics to boot. Your text and images should be sharp and well-designed as well.
Engage your Audience’s Senses
Apart from this, you have to pay attention to the actual display itself – in its entirety. One very useful tip that not many participants are taking advantage of is this: a display that offers visitors something they can smell, taste, watch, listen to, and feel. Focus on this, and you can go far. For instance, if you are offering a new perfume, have different scent samples handy to give out to passersby. The same is true if you are offering a new beverage or food item. Give the audience a taste. Present them with a video of your product, or have them listen to a pleasant voice extolling the virtues of what you have to offer. The point is to appeal to and influence your audience’s senses – and they won’t easily forget you and might even come back for more.
While we’re at it, it might also be a good idea to go for a booth or stand with an overall theme. This is better than just mixing and matching whatever you have. Have your stand or booth centre on a theme, starting with themed pop up stands and extending to leaflets, brochures, business cards, videos, giveaways, and more.
An Organised Booth without Clutter
The display in itself will already make a difference. But if you want to add to your audience’s good impression of your company and brand, you should also pay particular attention to the organization of your booth or stand. Your area should be free from clutter and well-organised. Don’t leave trash and papers lying around, and keep everything in its place. You’d be surprised at how your audience’s impression about your company can be influenced by the little things they see.
