Summer is not a good time for your hair because the saltiness in the sea, wind and the UV rays can leave your hair dry which calls the need of natural hair masks. The best thing about preparing a natural mask for your hair is that you can prepare it easily at your home with almost no cost. The masks which you make at home doesn’t contain any chemicals and therefore is very good for your hair. I’m sharing some unique hair masks with you which can be prepared in a jiffy with basic ingredients which is far better than the ones you would find on the high streets.
Banana Hair Mask
Bananas are rich in potassium and vitamin c which helps in oil production. The vitamin E in bananas is responsible for a healthy scalp and shining hair. What you need to do is blend 2 or more bananas with a tablespoon of coconut or olive oil and a few drops of honey. Massage this paste well into your scalp and hair and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. It will smell like a tropical coconut smoothie. After a couple of washes using warm water, your hair will be super soft and shiny. You can use any of your favorite oils other than coconut or olive oil.
Egg Hair Mask
Beat 2 egg yolks in a cup of milk along with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and add a teaspoon of lemon juice for a moisturizing and nourishing hair mask. The protein in egg yolk nourishes your hair from its roots and vitamin B12 promotes hair growth and vitamin A strengthens your hair and thereby preventing breakage. You should rinse your hair well with cold water after keeping it for fifteen minutes. If you use warm water you might end up having scrambled eggs on your hair. You can also use full egg instead of egg yolks alone.
Avocado Hair Mask
Avocados are an active ingredient in most of the skin and hair masks and any other beauty treatments. Avocado hair masks are ideal for certain hair types only. It is ideal for dry or dull hair normally. Try to use over-ripe avocados as they have more nutritional value. You can make a hair mask by mixing a medium sized ripen avocado with half cup of milk and a teaspoon of olive oil or almond oil or any other oils of your choice. Apply this mixture on your scalp and leave it for about 20 minutes for gorgeous hair.
Strawberry Hair Mask
Are you suffering from an oily scalp? Do you find it difficult to style your hair due to its oily nature? Then this mask will really help you to manage and nourish your hair. The vitamin C in strawberry will control the PH of your scalp and oil production. Blend a few strawberries with a teaspoon of your favorite oil and honey and apply it to your hair. Slather it into your hair and keep it for a few minutes and relax in a soothing bubble bath. Try to use fresh strawberries.
Yogurt Hair Mask
If you have a very dull hair as a result of exposure to pollutants or excessive styling, this mask is perfect for your hair. Massage half cup of plain yogurt on damp hair and wash it after half an hour to get an ultra-shiny hair. You can do household chores while keeping this mask on your hair. You can also relax yourself with a facemask along with the hair mask. Finally, rinse your hair with a regular shampoo to get back the sheen of your hair.
Though these masks are really good for the hair, it is your duty to find the best mask suitable for your hair. All hair masks for oily hair might not suit you so be careful before selecting a hair mask.
